Hi I’m Alex, I believe that what makes my wedding service special - aside from great photography - is my attitude. I'm a modern photographer who understands that it is your day and I want you to enjoy it as much as possible. This means I try not to shout or order your guests around and I endeavour to not get in the way or be intrusive. I have a relaxed approach that means that whilst I'm keen to share my ideas and experience having shot well over 200 weddings, I wouldn't ever suggest a style of photography that you don't really want.
I've just celebrated my 14th anniversary as a professional photographer (the last 11 years full time) and I'm really lucky in that I truly love what I do. I put my heart and soul into it, but it rarely feels like a job, which is wonderful! I'm inspired by beautiful landscapes, the silly/goofy/fun in children (my own 11 year old daughter especially), and by couples who pick me to photograph their most special day...I try and keep a pretty straightforward outlook: capture the emotion, passion and fun of your wedding day by ensuring you are happy! I take the view that if you book me, my time is yours - so whether you want photojournalistic photography which is all about capturing moments as they occur naturally, or whether you want a more traditional style, or simply a mixture of both - I'm happy to accommodate any request!
I'm really passionate about my wedding and portrait photography and about capturing beautiful moments that you'll keep close to your hearts.
Editing
All photographs you received are individually processed and edited by me to ensure they look their best; I generally perform what I call non-invasive photoshop work - I try and keep things look natural and real. In practical terms this means colours are enhanced, skies made more blue or more dramatic, spots are erased, signs removed and photos are cropped/straightened improved in any way I feel it needs. As a matter of course I will make some photos black & white; but I'll also give you colour versions.
Location!
I cover pretty much all the North West and beyond - all the way to Italy in fact - but if you are within a 75 miles radius, there's no travel charge at all.
Reviews
In the reviews on my website and on facebook you'll see many brides say they didn't notice me - which as I'm over 6ft tall is a great compliment!
Top Tip!
My top tip is probably a really obvious one, though is easy to ignore - don't fret about the little things! Very rarely does everything happen or get done exactly how you have imagined. But the big picture has to be to have an fabulous day, feel the love, and create wonderful memories. The other stuff will be forgotten about, or be just an extra story in future years.

Absolutely. I understand that you might be under more financial pressure. Some couples booked with me pays small amounts weekly. Whatever is easiest!
