10 Tips For Honeymoon Planning!

April 4, 2022 Hannah Lomas

When you spend months and months planning your wedding, the last thing that you want to do is skip into married life without a honeymoon. The honeymoon is the reward, the reward for all the hard work you’ve put in the wedding planning, the stress of meeting with family members, and the coordination of your wedding. It's an anticipated break for many couples, and it’s an exciting chance to get away to a dream destination before you embark on married life. The problem here is that a honeymoon can still cause some initial stress, especially when it comes to choosing where you want to go.

Whether you are looking to trek in Nepal or lay on the beach in Tahiti, you have to make some decisions about which honeymoon you would like to take. Perhaps one of you wants to gallivant across the Galapagos, or the other one would like to sightsee in the city, either way you have a decision to make. While Winged Boots is offering a honeymoon to the Maldives, you should consider whether you want to go further abroad or stay closer to home. In this article, we’ve put together 10 tips for helping you to plan your honeymoon to perfection.

Stay within your budget.

While you’re busy wedding planning and looking at everything you have to pay for, you need to make sure that you have a budget and that you can stick to it. Your budget will determine exactly where you can go on your honeymoon, how long you can go for and what you can do while you’re there. Basics don’t always mean bargains, so make sure that you are checking destinations closely.

Add your honeymoon experience to your wedding gift list!

If you don’t know where you want to go on your honeymoon, but you know that you have a specific budget in mind of what you’d like to spend for a honeymoon, why not ask your wedding guests to help give you your honeymoon? People think it’s distasteful to ask for money, but we are not living in the 1940s! The chances are you already live with your fiancé, which means that you will be equipped with everything and if you’re home. Asking for money to build to put together your dream honeymoon is not a bad thing, so use it as gift inspiration for your guest for your wedding.

Consider the timing.

Are you planning to go on your honeymoon directly after you’ve had your wedding reception? Or are you planning to wait a few days first? There are some people that have their wedding in June, but don’t honeymoon until September. For some, they have to consider the weather, their ability to take time off work, and how much the honeymoon is going to cost. Timing is everything when it comes to your honeymoon because you want this to be the trip of a lifetime. Consider the school holiday periods of the places you’re hoping to visit, too. Because this could impact how busy the spaces are.

Check the weather and seasons of the honeymoon destination.

What is the weather like? It’s wonderful for both of you to finally choose somewhere to agree on for your honeymoon, but is it really the right place for you? It’s a nice idea to go to the mountains in France, but if you’re hoping to ski, you’ll need a winter honeymoon. Would you like to visit the beaches of Australia? It’s probably not a good idea to go in July! Depending on where you are in the world, you need to look at the weather at your destination. This will help you to make sure that you are getting exactly what you want from your honeymoon whether that’s the weather or the resort.

Make a list of destinations and compromise.

Try to compromise. With two people who may have very different ideas about what makes a wonderful holiday, it needs to be said that you have to compromise on your honeymoon. Make a list, one list each of where you would like to go and see whether or not you have any ideas that crossmatch. If one of you wants to do a holiday laying around on the beach, but the other one would like to go exploring and sightseeing, why not pick a destination that offers both?

Get some help.

If you’re really struggling with what to do about planning your honeymoon, ask a travel agent to help. You don’t have to plan all this by yourself, not when there are services out there that can do it for you. If you use a wedding planner, definitely use a honeymoon planner.

Book early.

For the best deals, book early. This is true of everything you do when it comes to going on a holiday, but for your honeymoon, book early as possible. In fact, your honeymoon should be something that you plan early in your whole wedding journey. When you book early you are able to get the best possible price, and you may even get some extras.

Double-check your documents.

Make sure that your documents are correct. If you book any of your honeymoon in your maiden name, wait until after your honeymoon to change it on your passport. Sure, it might feel like it’s better to change your name and get your new passport and then go on a honeymoon, and you can absolutely do that, but if you want to save money in a little bit of stress it may be easier just to travel on your maiden name. However, if you’re booking your honeymoon a little later, book a same-day appointment at the passport office. This will mean that you can get your passport updated into your new name, you can change your name with the right services, and you can make sure that your honeymoon is going to be in your brand new name.

Tell everyone about your honeymoon.

You deserve to be so excited here, so if you want to be excited about your honeymoon, screen it from the rooftops. There is nothing wrong with a little bit of excitement on your honeymoon. It is possibly the most exciting holiday you can have in the world.

Make memories.

If you want your honeymoon to be memorable, make sure that you’re choosing honeymoon things that make sense for you and for your partner. Don’t use things that only make sense for other people. You’ll only regret it that way.

The Groom's Guide to Dressing for a Wedding

April 1, 2022 Hannah Lomas

It’s nearly time for you and your partner to tie the knot and plan your dream wedding. The big day is fast approaching and you need to start shopping for the perfect suit. This may seem easy, but the truth is, there is so much to consider when planning a wedding. In order to look your best for the big day, you’ll need to take stock of your finances, your style and your wedding theme.

Hire a Wedding Planner

If you’re like most couples, you’re taking a wedding planner route. Wedding planners can help you stay on track, keep your budget in check, and coordinate all the small details of your special day. Wedding planners can help you plan exactly what to wear so that you look your best and are able to go into your big day as confidently as possible.

Consider Your Wedding Theme

What is your wedding theme? This is a key part of planning, as this will influence the decor, and therefore the type of suit that the groom will wear. For example, a beach wedding would call for different decorations than a woodland themed wedding. Different types of weddings call for different attire, so it is important to plan accordingly.

Check the Weather

It’s important to factor in the weather forecast for your wedding day. Will your wedding be in a temperate climate or a tropical climate? Make sure you prepare for rain and know what you will do with your suit if it is raining.

Understand Your Personal Style

What is your personal style? Do you usually wear button-up shirts with jeans? Do you wear glasses regularly? Do you usually wear suits to work? These are all things to take stock of when planning your wedding. You don’t want to accidentally pick a style that is completely wrong or not you for the wedding day. Keep in mind the personal touches you usually add to your everyday outfits, and make them fancier for your wedding day. For example, if you normally wear a tie to work, spice it up and pick a men’s wedding ties!

Ask For Advice

Asking your friends and family can be a great way to get advice on what to wear and any other wedding planning questions you have. You might have a few relatives who are getting married soon, in which case you can also ask them for advice. The people closest to you will be familiar with your personal style and can give you great tips to look your best on your wedding day.

Suit Specifics

If you’re planning on wearing a suit to your wedding, you’ll want to make sure it’s clean and pressed. It’s also a good idea to wear your suit a couple of days before the wedding, so it has time to relax and not be too stiff. Also, make sure your suit is tailored and the right size.

Planning what you are going to wear to a wedding as the groom can be difficult, but with careful preparation, you are sure to feel confident and have the wedding of your dreams!

Five Ways To Help Promote Hair Growth In Preparation For Your Wedding Day

March 4, 2022 Hannah Lomas

Five Ways To Help Promote Hair Growth In Preparation For Your Wedding Day

Lack of hair growth can be a frustrating problem to deal with and can affect a person’s confidence level. None more so, than when you are preparing for your wedding day; you naturally want your hair to be looking and feeling at its best!

That being said, there are a number of options out there to help overcome a lack of hair growth in the run-up to your big day. Below, we’ve listed some of these options and how they work. They vary in cost, so you can find something that works for you without breaking the bank. Keep reading to find out more.

Hair Growth Products

When it comes to hair growth products, there are quite a few options on the market to choose from which can be implemented into your daily hair care routine. Caffeinated products are quite popular, as caffeine promotes hair growth and stimulates hair follicles – perfect for getting your hair wedding day ready! Castor oil is also believed to help with hair growth by improving blood circulation to the scalp and activating hair follicles. Hair growth products can be found in the form of shampoos, hair masks, supplements, and oils that can be rubbed into the scalp.

Scalp Massages

Scalp massages can help to promote hair growth by increasing blood circulation in the scalp. It can also help to open up hair follicles, allowing new and thicker hair growth. This treatment also has the added benefit of aiding in relaxation and stress reduction, which in itself can help reduce hair loss. Let’s be real, the wedding planning process can be a bit stressful at times, so why not treat yourself to a relaxing scalp massage?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment

PRP treatment for hair loss involves taking plasma containing high amounts of platelets from the body and re-injecting it into affected areas of the scalp. Clinics such as Pico specialize in applying this treatment, so it’s worth speaking to the experts via a consultation to go over options. The platelets in the plasma help rejuvenate cells, with the aim being that this will stimulate hair follicles and lead to better hair growth.

Avoid Heat Products

Avoid using heat products such as hairdryers, curlers, and straighteners if you’re struggling to grow healthy hair. Applying heat can severely damage the keratin proteins of your hair, which are vital for strong, healthy locks. If used too frequently, heat can lead to your hair becoming dry and brittle and unable to sustain growth. Instead, try letting your hair dry naturally and let your natural hair texture come through. We understand you might be planning to style your hair for your wedding, so giving it a break in the meantime is sure to do the world of good!

Stop Colouring Your Hair

Colouring your hair, particularly using harsh treatments such as bleaching, can damage the natural protective layer of the hair shaft. If you’re trying to grow your hair longer, it’s best to avoid dying it another colour and instead just let your natural hair colour come through. Dying can also dry out the scalp and damage hair follicles, leading to reduced hair growth.

We feel confident that by using these suggestions and others in tandem with one another, you will have the hair you have dreamt of in preparation for your wedding day! Whether you are opting for a big ceremony or one more intimate, go forth knowing your hair will look its best.

The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!

The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!
The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!
The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!

February, the month that special day for all potential – I stress POTENTIAL !!  brides and grooms pops its happy head into our calendar.  Yes, you guessed it.  VALENTINES DAY.   Da da!!

Well now then - will it be you this year.  So, for all you budding spotters browsing information on POTENTIALLY !! popping the question (be you a he or a she :-) read on and study!!

Yes, you guessed right.  Women now actually do propose and far more often than you think.

Every year and especially this year!!  People will be thinking about the meaningful things they want to do.  Getting engaged is right up there with the biggies.  And VALENTINES Day still outshines every other day in the year for proposals.  Wow – start to get yourself ready! It might be your turn.

The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!

Men think it’s a great idea to propose on Valentine’s day.  Why?  Well – it’s just so Romantic, isn’t it?  It’s all about being in love.   It is also very traditional.   And remember – for the guys it will be so easy to always remember the date you got engaged! Bingo! – Hey it applies to you ladies too of course. So…. get thinking about asking.

Don’t make a hash of it – that’s the next thing to be aware of.  It is a monumental moment, no matter what the times are and boy are we in unprecedented times.  So, okay - how should, or how could you do it?

Proposing on Valentine’s Day this year will be tricky.  You’re unlikely to be on holiday.  You may not be in that fancy restaurant you both love.  You may not be dressed to the nines!!  Think hard about that special person you are asking.  ASKING them to spend their lives with just you - forever.!!

So, understand a little of what they love and who they are before you ask. Know if these simple steps just wouldn’t work for them.  Give it some thought at least.  Here are our top Do’s & Dont’s to hopefully help you get ready for that BIG Valentine day proposal! Here we go – keep it simple.

The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!
The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!

1. Do try and SURPRISE them.

Throw them off guard.  Prepare a beautiful meal, or set lighted candles on your balcony or garden wall, even near your back door.  You can create a romantic corner almost anywhere.  Serenade them – even if you can’t sing.

You can surprise them by sending over a warm and sweet bouquet of roses and some chocolate treats from BloomingBox. Get this delivered straight to their home or office. If you want to make it even more special, have a personalized note delivered with the bouquet and chocolates.

2. Don’t propose at an expected time.

Even if you think they have an incline – delay it a bit.  An hour or two - when it finally comes – wow – the love sparks will fly.

3. Do think about documenting it.

Plan that little photo session together – that you can share later, on social media or with family.  Maybe enlist a friend (social distancing and within the rules of course) who can maybe just snap away for you both.

The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!

4. Don’t hide the ring in a stupid place.

Keep it away from the champagne glasses – the cake – the chocolate box etc – you don’t want to lose it!

5. Don’t over plan.

It shouldn’t be too complicated.  Avoid heavy detail – do not go overboard – a couple of BIG surprises is ample – maybe even that is not really necessary.

The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!

6. Do be emotional

If it moves you to tears – just cry – let it come naturally.  You are telling them how much you love them – you are baring your soul.  Showing your emotion will make it all the more special.

The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!

7. Don’t propose in a really creepy way.

You don’t have to say everything or too much, certainly don’t reel off things you would not normally say – less said and all that!  Just make it special and meaningful.

8. Do laugh if something goes wrong.

Maybe the phone will ring, or the delivery man arrives.  Just deal with the unexpected and chill.  It’s part of your proposal memory and adds momentum to your engagement story!

The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!

9. Don’t have any expectations to a reaction.

It may not go as expected.  They may be in shock – so don’t feel bad if you do not get the response you wanted. Just let it flow naturally and keep smiling and be nice.

10. Finally, Think about what makes that good proposal.

Don’t mess around – get to the point quickly. Avoid grand gestures, don’t beat around the bush – keep it simple – and just spill out the words.  They will love you for it.  Hopefully!!  Good luck!

The Perfect Valentines Proposal: 10 do's and dont's if you're thinking about getting down on one knee this February!

A Guide to Buying a Solitaire Ring

January 19, 2022 Hannah Lomas

The word "solitaire" is commonly used to describe jewellery with just one diamond and no side stones. When used in jewellery, a solitaire emphasizes the importance of a single stone within the design.

The moment has finally arrived, and you're arranging a stunning proposal that reflects your love perfectly. Purchasing a solitaire ring for your significant other might be the most important purchase you have ever made. It would help if you chose something you think they'll like after all, they'll be wearing it for years.

When purchasing solitaires, there are a few things to keep in mind, whether from a local jeweller or online. Our buying a solitaire ring guide walks you through the procedures to ensure you get the appropriate ring. Everything is covered, from establishing a budget to selecting a stone and determining her ring size.

What Should You Look for in a Solitaire Ring?

Nothing better exemplifies "less is more" than a diamond solitaire. Such glittering gems may give a touch of brilliance to your style and are both classy and attractive. When choosing a solitaire, it's crucial to consider the qualities and the stone's quality.

A solitaire, or any diamond for that matter, is graded on four different levels. The 4Cs indicate these four levels: cut, colour, clarity, and carat weight. Reputable jeweller like Anania Jewellers will ensure that the person buying the rings receives the best advice on looking for solitaire rings.

1. Make A Budget

Contrary to common assumption, it is not required to spend two months' pay on the ring. What matters about it is that you spend as little as you can and get the greatest bang for your buck.

The person wearing the ring should be happy with the look, which is all that matters.

If the couple starts the marriage with a lot of debt, especially for the ring, it could lead to financial strain later. Should both partners decide that they want to spend a few extra on their perfect day, consider financing alternatives we provide 0% financing and flexible deposits, allowing you to spread the cost of the ring over a certain period.

2. Color

Diamonds come in a variety of colours in nature. They range in colour from colourless to light yellow and even brown. The most valuable and rarest gems are colourless diamonds. They are also, unsurprisingly, the most costly ones on the market. It indicates that the more colourless your solitaire is, the more valuable it is. Choose a colourless or almost colourless stone if you want a high-quality stone, but also keep in mind what the person would like in terms of the design. If the plans call for a different colour, discuss this with the jeweller before making any purchases.

3. Shape

The form of your solitaire is the starting point for the design of your ring. It is a matter of your choice (or that of your spouse). The most common diamond shape for solitaire rings is the round brilliant, with maximum sparkle. Some people prefer a more unusual form, such as a Cushion Cut or an Oval. You may question your partner's relatives and friends if you're unsure what she likes.

4. Clarity

Natural flaws are known to exist in the majority of diamonds. Internal marks are inclusions, whereas outward scars are referred to as blemishes. These flaws influence the clarity of a diamond. In some instances, the spots are not apparent to the human eye. When choosing a solitaire, go for one with a high clarity rating. It indicates that it will be free of flaws.

5. Identify The Ring Size

If the proposal is a surprise, there are several options for determining her ring size. If she wears rings regularly, get a ring size app and measure the band she wears the most. If both of you decided upon the engagement, as is the case with many proposals these days, just inquiring about her ring size is a fine idea. Then you may either surprise her with the ring or go shopping together.

6. Consultation

Even though purchasing a solitaire ring is a highly personal decision, getting a second perspective is usually beneficial. An expert may walk you through the design and components of your ideal ring during a consultation, emphasizing the value of the 4Cs: cut clarity, colour, and carat.

7. Selecting A Diamond

The 4Cs are the most critical aspects of a diamond that you should evaluate before purchasing. When judging the quality of a diamond, colour, cut, clarity, and carat are essential factors. Each component impacts the stone's look, ensuring that you obtain the most remarkable stone for your money.

8. Report On Diamond Grading

A diamond grading report from an independent, scientific source like the (GIA) is more than just helpful information; it's verifying what you're getting. Diamond variances may be so slight that even an experienced jeweller couldn't tell them apart without lab proof. Insist that every diamond you buy be accompanied by irrefutable evidence of its quality.

9. Warranty

The lifetime manufacturing guarantee from Steven Stone implies that if the solitaire ring is damaged due to a flaw, we will repair it free.

10. Insurance

Because a solitaire ring is likely to be one of your most costly purchases, be careful to insure it against theft, loss, or damage. Jewellery insurance may be highly affordable, so it's something to think about.

Tying It All Together

A wedding is an extraordinary occasion for the bride and groom, and it’s the day that symbolises their union. One of the items they’ll carry with them for life will be their wedding rings as a constant reminder of the bond they now share.

Depending on the budget the couple wants to stick to and their individual preferences, there’ll be a perfect ring for them, including solitaire diamond rings. As long as they consult a reputable jeweller, they should find the ring they won’t forget to make their big day even more special.

Six reasons to choose a winter wedding venue

December 22, 2021 Hannah Lomas

Six reasons to choose a winter wedding venue

Weddings throughout the winter months are growing increasingly popular, and it's simple to see why. Simply by virtue of the time of year, having your special day at a winter wedding venue with tipi winter events might provide additional perks. Your wedding day will bring back lovely memories for you every year while everyone else is suffering from the winter blues. Other advantages of a winter wedding include:

Wedding with a Christmas theme

For many people, Christmas is the happiest time of the year. To add a festive feel to your special day, consider having your wedding close to Christmas. If you don't want to go with the classic yuletide colours of green and red, there are other, more contemporary possibilities. It's your day, and we're here to help you make it as memorable and unique as possible.

 Make your day memorable

tipi winter events have gained a wealth of knowledge in helping couples organise their weddings. The tipi team is adaptable and can work around your needs, as well as advise you on how to personalise your big day.

Photography and other services will face less competition

Summer is such a popular time for weddings that you'll have to compete with other couples to get the photographer you want to capture your special day. When it comes to preserving memories of one of the most significant days in your life, having the correct photographer may make all the difference. If you're looking for a wedding photographer in the winter, you'll have more options because it's generally less popular.

Most of your guests can come

It's more probable that your guests will show up if you choose a winter wedding site. When it's hot outside, many individuals have vacation plans or other wedding invitations to consider. Your closest friends and family will be there in the full form if you get married during the winter months. Your wedding guests can stay on-site, where there are a variety of options for them to choose from.

The weather won't be a factor

Due to the British summertime's unpredictable nature, many people are concerned about the possibility of rain on their big day. Winter wedding venues don't have to worry about the weather, so you don't have to.

Variations in lighting are possible

Unique lighting can be used in the winter because it is not possible in the summers. Your wedding will have a more personal feel to it if you decorate your venue with a variety of various lighting options. If you'd want to create the illusion of a winter night, try projecting stars on the ceiling or decorating with fairy lights and candles. There are a variety of ways to add a personal touch to your special day. Don't hesitate to contact Tipi winter events if you're seeking a beautiful winter wedding site.

Do’s and Dont’s for an extraordinary marriage proposal:

December 16, 2021 Hannah Lomas

Do’s and Dont’s for an extraordinary marriage proposal:

Because asking for someone's hand in marriage is such a significant affair, your proposal should be formal and well-executed. Undoubtedly, this display of affection must be well-planned in order for your partner to be completely enthralled by the honesty and perfection of the entire event.

However, there is no right or wrong way to ask your loved one to marry you, but there are certain things you can do to ensure the marriage proposal flows smoothly. This article will let you know some dos and don'ts for an extraordinary marriage proposal.

Make it noteworthy:

This is the moment to be emotional with the core of your heart.  Consider the memorable occasions in your relationship. Return with your sweetie to the location where you first met, hugged, or exclaimed "I love you!"

Does he/she like a  coffee shop, scenery, or perhaps a song, film, or book? Rely on these specific elements in a creative way to make a memorable day even more unique.

Don’t reveal the secret accidentally:

The more information individuals know, the more likely it is that the surprise will be spoiled. Figure out beforehand who needs to be told what and hold every one on a need-to-know basis. Don't tell anyone, including the vendors, your helpers who will assist you to crack the proposal unless they really need to know.

Besides, it's more enjoyable to communicate the proposal from you and know one else!

Buy an elegant ring:

Make sure you don't pop up empty-handed! Whenever it comes to selecting an engagement ring for the love of your life, do some investigation beforehand.

While she may leave indications about the type of ring she prefers, you may also ask her friends for more specific information, such as her preferred shape, if she prefers gems or sapphires, favourite metal colour, and, obviously, her size. For this day, the ring is so special and important so you want to get it right!

Read What You Absolutely Need To Know About Buying Wedding Rings

Don’t underestimate your outfit:

It may seem minor in comparison to the preceding things, but it is not. Aside from picking clothing that makes you seem dashing, the type of shirt and pants you wear is also vital since the ring box must be kept safe.

A pair of pants that are too tight will not properly fit your ring box, and it will most certainly fall when you sit. A coat is a secure spot to put your ring if you're heading somewhere outside.

Have a backup plan:

Do you think a stroll along the seashore would be ideal? Or the peak of a hill? Both of those options are great. Until the next day, when you wake up to gloomy skies and thunderstorms.

If Mother Nature isn't cooperating, have a few indoor options in mind, her favourite museum, for instance, or the spot you first met—as you have to organise your strategy. Prepare what to do in the event of traffic or if she comes sooner or later than planned.

Don’t copy proposal speech:

Your proposal must be sincere, engaging, and inventive at the same time. It's obvious that copying someone's work without emotive grounds is a worthless surprise. Make this an occasion she will happily tell everyone about!

Whatever way you’re thinking of proposing hopefully these tips will guide you in the right direction for creating an extraordinary marriage proposal! Good Luck!

Alternative Proposal Ideas That'll Make Things More Romantic

November 25, 2021 Hannah Lomas

Asking someone to marry you, despite being a simple question, can be one of the most nerve-wracking times of your life. You’ll need to make sure that everything’s right before you do. Some of that will depend on the ring itself.

While engagement rings have always been popular, eternity rings could be as effective, if not more so. Beyond that, there’ll be multiple other aspects to a proposal that you’ll need to worry about.

Though your partner is likely to say ‘yes’ regardless of how much preparation and planning you put in, you’ll still want to make it unique. There are a few alternative proposal ideas that you could try.

Alternative Proposal Ideas You Should Consider

A Magical Forest

What could be more magical than a romantic proposal in a forest? If your partner is a fan of the outdoors, then this could be an appealing option. You’ll need to put some planning into this, however.

Having an area where you’ll pop the question is recommended. You can spruce this place up by adding some lights to make it more romantic. Going for a hike with your partner, provided this isn’t out of the ordinary, and leading the way here will make sure it’s a surprise.

Personalized Jigsaw

Puzzle-solving and jigsaws have been popular pastimes for many couples for quite some time. If you and your partner fit into this category, why not work it into your proposal? You can get a personalized jigsaw made that has the big question emblazoned on it.

There’ll be more and more suspense here as your partner gets closer to finishing the jigsaw. You’ll need to be careful so that it’s not too obvious when your partner is putting it together. It could be worth making sure that there isn’t a picture on the packaging.

If there is, you should ensure that this is of a slightly different jigsaw.

Alternative Proposal Ideas That'll Make Things More Romantic

Try A Photo Booth

A photo booth may not be the first place you think of when it comes to proposal ideas. It could be one of the more intimate ways of proposing to your partner, however. Not only will you make it much more intimate, but you’ll have the moment captured on camera.

That could be much more special to you and your partner than you’d expect. Who wouldn’t want to document their partner’s exact reaction to the proposal? There’s also the benefit of getting the moments directly before and after popping the question.

What could be more romantic than that?

read Do’s And Dont’s For An Extraordinary Marriage Proposal:

Wrapping Up

Coming up with alternative proposal ideas can be quite difficult. You’ll not only need to make sure that it’s something your partner will like, but something you can take advantage of. Seeing what kind of activities or other things you can utilize for your proposal will be the first step in planning it.

Once you’ve created a list of these, you can narrow it down based on your partner’s preferences. The above could be more than recommended. When you’re planning it out, you’ll need to make sure that it’s a surprise, which could be the most difficult aspect.

If you can manage that, you’ll have no problem proposing.

4 Inventive Wedding Themes For Modern Brides

November 10, 2021 Hannah Lomas

Weddings are not just a celebration of a couple’s commitment to one another. It’s also an occasion to celebrate them as people, along with all the things that make them who they are.

Of course, weddings have been a source of great anxiety in recent times. There has been much uncertainty about whether people can get hitched in the ways they’ve always imagined. While exchanging vows is the main priority, it still all goes to show how much of a difference a terrific wedding theme can make.

If your big day is looming, you may want to take a more ingenious approach to piece the big day together. Perhaps you want to play with more contemporary ideas also? Here are 4 inventive wedding themes for modern brides.

The Minimalist Wedding

Minimalism can be quite modern; it reduces excess and affords greater control over things like managing waste and being eco-conscious. There’s also much room for being inventive, as the idea here is to do a lot with a little.

For a minimalist wedding, you’ll need to do the following:

·       Keep the guest list short – Guests are very much part of your wedding theme, from their numbers to how they dress. Your special day needs to feel intimate and exclusive for a minimalist vibe to resonate.

·       Prioritise simplicity – Wedding days can be famously complicated, but yours should be simple in all ways. Wedding invitations to decorations – it should all be presented immaculately and straightforwardly. A new colour scheme will also suffice.

·       Secure an unadorned venue – All you need is some shelter, and you’re ready to tie the knot! In the end, you don’t even need an exquisite backdrop either.

Your attitude counts for a lot here. Remember that minimalist weddings work best when everyone is entirely on board with the idea, not when it’s solely a compromise to save some money. Adopt that all-important ‘less is more’ mentality, and your wedding will have an exceptional kind of magic.

Luxury Glamping Weddings

The woods may not seem inventive and modern at first. However, the event you host within them certainly can be, and can even carry an air of finer living.

Hosting your wedding in woodland can provide a wholly immersive experience. Of course, people are developing their affinity for the environment these days. Many homeowners have even left cityscapes in favour of rural countryside. Today, loving nature and wanting escape and freedom from the trappings of urban life are, quite suitably, modern.

It’s easy to satisfy your creative appetite here with exemplary service at your disposal. For instance, Yurtel’s accommodation has a range of luxury canvas structures and bespoke camps for an informal yet stylish event surrounded by fresh air and lush greenery. They cater to weddings of all sizes and can organise champagne breakfasts, wild banquets, campfire cocktails, and so much more. An unforgettable wedding day surely awaits.

Your Favourite Story Wedding

Marriage is the celebration of you and your spouse’s story. Many couples choose to celebrate other favourite stories of there’s at this time too.

Think of the modern cinematic franchises or literary works that resonate with you today. Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, Frozen – whatever the thing might be, if it’s changed your life, it’s worthy of inclusion on your wedding day.

Of course, the creative potential is limitless here in terms of costume and decoration. Try to pick something that you and your partner love equally as much and are wholly devoted to. That way, you can collaborate in equal parts and go all-out with your fandom. Fit things around the most modern take on the story you love, and flesh things out from there.

Consider that any kids attending your wedding will likely have a great time with the theme you choose. Often weddings can be dull and dreary for them, but if they’re kept entertained, then there’ll be no sulking faces insight. If you need tips on being inventive and appealing to contemporary interests, appealing to a younger demographic is always a good idea.

A Social Media Wedding

A wedding that’s themed around social media might seem crass at first. However, this type of arrangement certainly has charm.

For example, you could create your very own hashtag for your special day. Before guests arrive, you could inform them of it and politely request they use it when posting images and videos of your big day online. After that, you and your spouse can go through them all, reflecting on the memories and picking out your favourites.

You could also Livestream your wedding day for guests who are further afield and unable to attend. Others could ‘live Tweet’ the occasion too. The theme is a great excuse to keep everyone connected, even if some of you are apart. Everyone can have a presence on your wedding day.

Few things represent modernity as well as social media. So long as people aren’t constantly on their actual phones for something better to do, this type of wedding can be a pleasant surprise for many.

What You Absolutely Need to Know About Buying Wedding Rings

September 29, 2021 Hannah Lomas

Buying a wedding ring is often an exciting and nerve-wracking task. Considering that the perfect wedding requires the perfect rings, and you want the whole event to go off without a hitch, you need to make sure you get the wedding ring right. There’s a few things that you should probably know about buying wedding rings, and we’ll be covering them here. Let’s get started.

Measurements Need to Be Exact

Like an engagement ring, the wedding ring needs to be exactly measured to get the best results. This has the potential to go really wrong if you don’t do it right, so you need to make sure that your wedding ring is perfect from start to finish, and it starts with the measurements.

Your measurements need to make sure that they conform to generally accepted ring sizes and that they are for the right finger. Check out this blog, Which Finger Does An Engagement Ring Go On, to get a better idea of that.

Choose the Right Style

Style can be so important when choosing the right kind of wedding ring for your specific needs. Obviously, you’re going to want to make sure that the wedding ring you choose is one which will be suitable for the rest of your life.

Your wedding ring is something you’ll wear everyday, so you should think about longevity in your choice. Do you want a simple wedding band (and here’s why) to compliment everyday life? Or are you the type of person who wants something more ornate? Whatever you choose to do, there is a wedding band for you so it is worth picking what will work best.

Do You Want to Match

Many people like the idea of their wedding bands matching and so they actively go out of their way to find two bands which will work for both partners and still match up at the same time.

If this sounds like something you want to do, then you need to take the time to look at what’s available. Choosing a matching wedding band is one of the best ways to make sure that your experience is a positive one. A marching wedding band will look lovely in photos and will be a reminder of your partner, so it’s good to pick one.

Final Thoughts

Purchasing the ideal wedding ring for your needs will be very important. There are many different types of wedding bands for you to choose, so it’s important to take a look at what’s available to get the best results. If you take your time and experiment with what’s on offer, then you’ll be able to find the ideal configuration of options. This article will help you to choose a wedding ring for yourself, otherwise, feel free to experiment with what’s available and make sure that you select the ideal option for your needs. You will only need one wedding ring, so it’s important to get it right.

A Guide to Choosing Your Bridal Jewellery

September 28, 2021 Hannah Lomas
Joeyy Lee

Joeyy Lee

While some brides love to be without any other jewellery apart from the wedding ring, others love just a bit more to look unique. Moreover, 37% of UK women now have a say in the final choice. Whichever option you go for works fine as long as it makes you comfortable on your wedding day. However, there are some helpful guidelines to consider before deciding to go with extra jewellery or not. Below are some pointers you probably never gave much thought to.

1. Less is more

In the jewellery adornment circles, you could agree with the saying, ‘less is more.’ The last thing you want to do on your wedding day is looking a bit too much. Especially where jewellery is concerned, the demure bride look is perfect. At no point should your necklace and bracelet(s) take away from your gown. Remember that the wedding dress is the main feature of your special event, followed by the wedding ring. If you wear jewellery, the guiding rule is to make the entire ensemble blend in smoothly.

For example, it is a fashion faux-pas to wear a necklace when the chosen wedding gown has a decorative neckline. Therefore, instead of wearing that choker or necklet, opt for teardrop earrings to complement the look.

2. The jewellery should match the fabric of your gown

Jewellery comes in different colours and metals. However, some brides fail to acknowledge that each metal and colour matches with different gown fabrics. For example, when your gown is all white with sheer lace, platinum and silver jewellery are the best choices. On the other hand, if the dress has an ivory tone, you will be on the right path opting for jewellery with gold undertones.

For more contemporary brides who opt for rose gold jewellery, remember to have pink hues in your dress. Wedding gown designers recommend settling on the dress first before purchasing the jewellery to make the best decision. Sometimes though, it helps to consider the beading and other stones designed into your gown as they also make a statement.

3. Shop from a trusted source

An essential part of jewellery shopping is knowing that your purchase is from a trusted source. Considering the proliferation of fake metals and illegal gemstones shipped into the country, you will want to be careful during the transaction process. That is why it is essential to shop from brands like Irish Jewelry Craft, where you will find authentic, historic rings to buy such as the white gold Claddagh ring with emerald. With trusted brands, you can be assured of quality and real value for money. No matter where you buy your rings, remember to ask for a receipt. Lastly, ask about its warranty period.

4. Your wedding jewellery must be something you can wear later

What’s the point in buying expensive jewellery you get to wear only once in your lifetime? That cannot be value for money. Long after your special occasion, you should be able to wear that same jewellery for another special occasion like a wedding anniversary or a special dinner date with your spouse. If you are more traditional, your old jewellery can become a family heirloom for generations. Indeed, that will also depend on the quality of the piece you have.

Areas All Wedding Photographers Need To Master

September 10, 2021 Hannah Lomas
Mariah Krafft

Mariah Krafft

Becoming a photographer might seem as though it’s relatively easy. That’s primarily driven by the rise of smartphones, which has made taking quick pictures relatively easily. The abundance of editing tools seems to reinforce this. That doesn’t mean that being a professional photographer is that easy.

Instead, you’ll need to master quite a few areas. The most obvious of these are your technical and creative skills. After all, you’ll need to use the camera properly and arrange the image you want to take. There’s quite a bit beyond this that you’ll have to look at.

Some will be more important than others, although they could each be essential.

What To Master As A Photographer

Your Marketing

If nobody knows how good of a photographer you are, then you’re not going to get any clients. That’s where your marketing comes in. As a creative professional, there are a wealth of options available for you to market your photography business.

Your website will be the cornerstone of this. Alongside showing off examples of your work, your site will include your services, pricing, and more information about you. You’ll need to do more than this, though.

Social media can be a recommended choice, with Instagram being an obvious example. You’ll need to put effort into increasing your Instagram engagement, however. Once your account starts growing, you should start seeing new business come in.

Your Teamwork

Certain types of photography can be done on your own, such as landscape photography. To succeed in these areas, among others, you’ll need to work well on your own. Even other specializations will need this, as you’ll be by yourself editing images.

Knowing how to work under these conditions is essential. That doesn’t mean that you’ll work alone constantly. You’ll often have models to work with, which may also mean hair and makeup professionals, among other coworkers.

You’ll need to work effectively with each of these people. Being able to collaborate effectively with other creative professionals will make things go much smoother while you create high-quality images.

Your Communication

Clear and effective communication is vital to any successful career. Photography is no exception. You’ll be dealing with people regularly and providing them with a service. You’ll need to understand what they’re looking for and communicate whether or not this is possible.

If not, you’ll need to tell them so in a clear, but friendly way. Alongside this is convincing them to go with pictures that are more flattering or appropriate. Part of this will focus on building a relationship with them from the beginning.

That will be key to building long-term relationships with clients. Doing so will increase your chances of more clients in the future. You should leave clients with a positive impression of you, as this could mean that they’ll recommend you to their friends.

Communicating with them in a friendly and professional way will be a large part of this.

Patience & Attention To Detail

There are a lot of details in photography. It’s a medium that, the more you pay attention to it, the more you can find in a picture. You’ll need to keep that in mind when creating and editing your picture.

People have a tendency to notice mistakes, regardless of where or what they are. With paying clients, that’s especially true. You’ll need to have a keen eye to spot any potential mistakes and get rid of them.

Patience will be a vital aspect of this. When you’re dealing with clients, that’s also true. You could have to put in long hours for a project, so being able to handle this is a necessity.

Don’t Forget To Upskill

If you’ve done a photography degree, then you might believe that you’re done learning. Though that could be the case for certain things, you’re never truly done mastering your craft. Different cameras and software will come out. New photography techniques will be developed.

Things that would have been modern when you started photography may eventually become stale. If that happens, you could find yourself attracting fewer clients as they instead choose competitors.

By maintaining and improving your skills whenever possible, you’ll be in a prime position for future success.

Wrapping Up

Despite seeming relatively easy, becoming a professional photographer is much more difficult than you’d expect. Alongside mastering your camera work, you’ll need to invest heavily in all of the areas above. Each will have a positive impact on your photography career.

Becoming as proficient as possible will make your photography career prosper, so there’s no reason not to work on them.
